September is so much fun - we celebrate Operation Write Home's anniversary, the date we became a 501(c)(3), on September 12th. But not just for one day - all month long! We'll have extra inspiration, challenges, card drives, prizes, bonus sketches - and more!
 We have SO much fun in store, I don't even have enough room to tell you in just an email. Read on for a few items coming - then be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and our blog daily for all the fun!

HOLIDAY REMINDERS
- We send general cards along with our holiday cards - so your love, missing you, thanks, etc cards are welcome along with holidays! See the Mailroom for your shipper's greatest needs.
- Don't forget to line dark cards with light paper - the rich colors of holiday cards might be gorgeous, but our heroes have no white pens! :)
- Halloween deadline was Aug 31; Thanksgiving is Sept 30. For Christmas cards - Oct 31 is the final deadline, but if you are truly unable to provide them tucked in envelopes (see the envelope deal here, it's hard to resist!) or stamp the backs(free stamp here), please have them to our shippers before Oct 10th so they have time to recruit volunteers to assist in preparing your donation to ship. We end up with literally thousands of cards to work on, so your help especially during this busy season is a huge blessing!
- Christmas cards are great (both religious and secular themes are accepted) - and cards that are "winter" are most flexible since they can be sent by our heroes to just say hi or to send holiday wishes - and can be used in January if they don't need them for Christmas itself. Please separate winter from holiday if you're able to do so, thanks!
- Extra thank-you cards are always requested by our heroes, so they can express their gratitude to those who have supported them all year. We'd love to have extras for fall and winter that we can provide!

B'day Blogging with friends
All month long, we'll be partnering with some of our industry supporters to celebrate our birthday! The fun starts on Monday - our team has great card inspiration for our blog, and the partners we link to will be sharing about us - hosting card drives, offering fabulous inspiration, offering prizes, and encouraging new folks to join the fun - and you may even find some new product releases sneaking in here and there! OWH will be popping up all over the crafty web!

Parties around the WORLD!
 Birthday Bash parties are on our calendar - we even have an event in Israel! You can still add YOUR party to our event calendar! A gathering can be as simple as you and a friend or two making cards - or as elaborate as renting a space and inviting your town!
