OPERATION WRITE HOME MEMORIAL DAY BLOG HOP

WELCOME

If you arrived from Let a Little Sunshine In then you are on the right ride, so please put your seats in the upright position, buckle up and get ready for a fun time! If you didn't arriver from then you might want to go to the front of the line and see ALL of the attractions by clicking HERE...

I found OWH a few months ago and knew in my heart that I wanted to be a part of this amazing group of paper crafters! I come from a long line of family that has served in the military and served this great country we live in. I know that we live in the land of the FREE because of the BRAVE. My heart runneth over with gratitude and love for those that have served, are serving and will serve this great nation. I am also grateful for the families and friends of those that serve for their sacrifices as well.

All of those that are serving near and far know that you are missed and thought of each and every day, and through OWH cards those that serve can send that sentiment to those they love and miss too. I've been busy making "missing you" cards and know that someone out there will be able to send one home.

I'm offering a little "blog candy" and will also be creating 1 card to send to OWH for each comment left from Saturday morning until Sunday night 11:59 Monday morning I will post the random winner of the BLOG CANDY.

This tutorial is my first... please be kind. I love to "mask" images and use my waterbrush so I combined the two and created the element that will go on a "Missing You" card for OWH... I hope you enjoy and no, there isn't any sound cause I thought my voice sounded funny... I'm so vain I probably thought the song was about me...

Now that you know how to mask and use a waterbrush it is on to Jan's ArtFriendzy the next stop on this Memorial Day tour ENJOY the ride!!!

Great job, Shel! Don't know if you knew we were remodeling.. but now I have this HUGE box of cards accumulated as I have packed up my craft room this week. I'm inspired now - going to pack up everything I don't absolutely have to have and send them off too! I'll let you know how many it ends up being!! What a great organizational project for me on Memorial Day weekend!! :)

Hi Shelley sweetie...
What a beautiful card you have shared and I love the tutorial. They make things so much easier when you are trying to learn. You can start and stop at your own will. Thank you so much.

I have never made a card, but am so inspired to give it a try. You ladies have really inspired me and I want to make some for the OWH too. I have been at home ill for about a month now with my lungs. I could do this from my recliner. I can't go out to shop for supplies, but will give it a try with what little I have at home. I so want to do this.

I am your newest follower. I can't wait to see what you share next. Please stop by and say hi. I would be so honored if you signed up to follow my blog as well.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
