I am still in the race... even though a bit behind

The Sunday Sketch was a pretty easy challenge for me; however "I Quilt" I really struggled with, I cut paper this way and it didn't work, so then I cut paper that way, which didn't work either **quilter...I'm not*** that would be my Grandma Jones. She made the most amazing quilts all from hand. I remember going to her house when I was younger and there would usually be either a quilt on being done or she would be working on cutting and piecing one together. As I traveled back to those wonderful memories I remembered something she said when I'd asked her, "How do you know that the pieces will all fit?" She told me that she cut them the same size. I know a little slow on the uptake on this challenge, yet when I went back to my trimmer I did just as Grandma Jones instructed so many years ago... I cut them the same size. Thanks Grandma... For the Terrific Taggies I used Garden Green grosgrain and Blush Polka Dot Grosgrain from CTMH... they both went so well with Hollyhock. And the sentiment "Cele-brate all you do" is reminiscent of my Grandma Jones, her wisdom, her love, her spirit, her talents and her joy. Thanks to these challenges I truly enjoyed a trip down "memory lane."
